Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has recalled Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew ahead of this month’s African Cup of Nations qualifier. The Ayew brothers will be part of Appiah’s 20-man squad ahead of the upcoming crunch game.
On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, we reported that the Ayew brothers have been called for the game against Ethiopia.
Lo and behold, the aforementioned story has been confirmed by the coach of the Black Stars.
The Ayew brothers will be making a return to the team for the first time in 13 months. The return of the Ayew brothers will bolster Ghana’s squad as they eye a qualification to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad is without Leicester City defender Daniel Amartey and Udinese hard tackler Nicholas Opoku.
But in-form Switzerland-based midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has been handed his first Black Stars call up. The Black Stars team will begin camping in Nairobi on Monday, November 12, as they prepare to travel to Addis Ababa for the group match.
Ghana will take on Ethiopia on November 18, 2018 at the Addis Ababa Sports Stadium.
