Controversies and publicity stunts are becoming the order of the day for people in showbiz to stay relevant and here’s what Eazzy has to say about that.
The Ghanaian songstress, whose career spans around a decade, says that relevance built on controversies does not last for long though it attracts attention and generates a buzz for the artiste.
Eazzy made the comment in a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, where she said “There are so many strategies to adopt to make you relevant in the industry. Yes, controversies will give you some attention but that will be for a short time and before you know it, you have gone missing on the scene”.
The “Ogbaa Gbemi” singer. who is a judge on the MTN Hitmaker reality show and also co-hosted the VGMAs before, further advised young female acts to be careful of the brand they build in pursuit of relevance because cheap brands attract fewer opportunities.
“I don’t think that is the way to go so I always encourage young acts, especially the ladies since I started like them, to build strong brands and perhaps, attach the right controversies to it. Besides, nobody wants to associate with cheap brands so if you have a strong brand, you are always assured of the masses’ support,” she stated.
Do you agree with Eazzy?
