Legendary Ghanaian rapper, Obrafour has said judging from the numerous awards and honours he keeps getting despite his longevity in the game show he’s still relevant, hence bowing out of the game will be difficult.
The diminutive rapper who revealed this at this year’s Rhythms On The Runway organised by Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), at the Christianborg Castle, Osu in Accra on Saturday, August 31.
Speaking after being presented with a smock by popular media personality, Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) at the show, Obrafour said, “I’m not retiring because it seems people don’t want me out of the game. All these honours show that I’m still needed so I’m not retiring,” he said.
Prior to his speech, Obrafour sent nostalgic waves down the spine of patrons as he performed his legendary Pae Mu Ka song, as he was joined on stage by Cy Lover, the man he featured on that song 20-years ago.
This year’s Rhythms On Da Runway was a well organised event which kicked off with a performance tribute to Ghana from spoken word artist, Nana Asaase. His recital reflected the ‘Year of Return’ theme.
