Not long ago, rapper Sarkodie caused a lot of emotional discomfort to Shatta Wale and his entire fans when he released “Advice” perhaps to dim the arrogance and cantankerous attitude of the self-acclaimed Dancehall King.
Fast forward, most people especially fans of Shatta Wale was looking forward to hearing from their favorite artiste to respond to the SarkCess Music CEO accordingly. However, the expectations of the fans have never been achieved as Shatta couldn’t clap back.
In the rightful thinking of Shatta Wale, he can’t beef an artiste who’s representing a different music genre. Thus, he’s a Dancehall artist whereas Sarkodie is a rapper, therefore, it’s illogical for him to descend into the gutters with Sarkodie. To him, Sarkodie should rather look for a rapper and battle it out with.
However, the Director of Creative Arts Department at African University College of Communications (AUCC) Dr. Kwesi Owusu thinks that Shatta Wale’s excuse to why he can’t reply Sarkodie’s diss is lame and illogical.
In the voice of Dr. Kwesi Owusu, the failure of Shatta to respond to Sarkodie is because he is lyrically weak adding that Sarkodie’s “Advice” song is a masterpiece and there is no better linguist in Ghana than Sarkodie. He made this statement to Kwaku Sintim-Misa on his KSM TV Show.
